Box Stitch Crochet – A Book Review

Box Stitch Crochet
Use Corner to Corner in New Ways to Make ....

If you’re a fan of the corner-to-corner stitch you will love this book.  If you’ve never done the box stitch and have always wanted too, but not to make an afghan, this book is for you.

Corinne has done a great job of bring this stitch into our wardrobes and accessories.

For instance, look at this cute skirt.

Corinne dedicates a whole chapter to the Box Stitch.  I would suggest making a swatch to get familiar with the stitch, edging, joining, increase and decreases.  The directions and pictures are clear if you are not familiar with this stitch.  The wardrobe patterns go from extra small to 5X.  Pattern directions refer to the number of boxes needed, joining, edging and finishing are included for every piece.

I think the most unique piece is Dusty Purple Motif Stole.  Lacy and dressy for special occasions.  The Under the Sea Motif Shawl also appeals to me, maybe because they would work here in Florida.

Stackpole Publishing has done a beautiful job again, I love project pictures as the table of contents, this makes it so easy to find what I want to make or show friends quickly.  I’m weird with how a book feels, I like the paper and print of this book too.
