Marie’s Garnet sweater

Marie’s Garnet is open and airy with a wonderful drape. When I saw this yarn in garnet I knew I had to make something special and name it after a dear friend that passed away. Marie was the best cheerleader who gave unconditional love to everyone.  She was born in January, the month of the Garnet birthstone.and the name of this color. I know she would have loved this cardi.  I made the sample in my size, I will feel her every time I wear it.  

Recommended Yarn:

Marie’s Garnet was designed with Expression Fiber Arts, Pearlescent fingering weight yarn, a 50% Superwash/50% Mulberry Silk blend. Marie’s Garnet can be made using most fingering weight yarns as long as gauge is achieved.

Stitches used:

Basic stitches were used in Marie’s Garnet including single crochet, chain.

Construction:

Marie’s Garnet is a square neck, drop shoulder construction with simple tie closure.
